Mark, thank you for your kind comments on (my dad) John Kelly and your tribute to the old pattern makers in the sky.
They certainly were characters and I have fond memories of dad talking about his colleagues in the pattern shop. He was there from 1942 to 1988 so he was part of the history till his early retirement (following the sad loss of his wife Peggy).
It was only after dad died we (myself and my sister Nadene) found that he had kept the article in the YEP about the closure of the foundry. With the passing of the years we had lost touch with many of his other colleagues (some who had already departed).
