Message: It was sad to hear of John Kelly passing away last year. He, along with the late Jim Parker, his best mate, had a big influence on me in my early days at WYF and helped me a lot during my apprenticeship in the Patternshop.
John was very skilled at his job and could easily work those chisels to great effect, carving on jobs like the Jaguar V12 Engine, Rolls Royce V8 and Rover V8 Blocks and heads.
Others at the time, Don Elliott, Jim Parker, have all gone to the Patternshop in the sky, and they will all be a great assett up there.
