My wife and I have bought an 8 bedroom pub/hotel situated in Huelgoat in West Brittany, France. It is set in the hills of Ardee, which is about one and half hours drive from the port of Cherbourg. The property does require some attention, which is no problem as I am keening on DIY. The idea to live in France came from an uncle who works there. I used the Internet to find French estate agents and went to Brittany on my rest days to view properties. I have sold our house in Leeds and look to move to France around December 2004. We plan to start with B & B and build up the pub side of the business with the locals. We are not going to France to try and make money but to enjoy ourselves and have a better quality of life together.
