Name: Philip Herron 19.4.08
Subject: Trevor Haggar

Message: Mick mentioned the sad passing of Trevor Haggar earlier this week. Not everyone will have known Trevor, for he retired in November 1994 (aged 63) as West Yorkshire Foundries Production Director. (They may, however, may remember his son, Jon, for he was at the Foundry from 1991 to 1999)

As Mick says, Trevor was a real Foundryman. Trevor startied his working life as an apprentice pattern maker and progressing 'through the ranks' within the industry. Trevor joined Leyland Motors (the original owners of West Yorkshire Foundries) in 1960 and spent a number of years at Leyland's foundry operation in India before moving back to the UK and to West Yorkshire Foundries, in 1968.

I am sure that Trevor was well liked and respected by all that knew him. In that context (and noting that the statement on the Afterlives webpage regarding spam mail, hence this mail to you), could you post details of the funeral arrangements for Trevor on Afterlives, so that those who wish to pay their last respects can do so. The funeral is to be held on Friday 25th April at The Immaculate of Mary RC Church, Harrogate Road, Leeds LS17 6LE, at 12 45. (As far as I know, the announcement has not, as yet, appeared in the Evening Post).

Many thanks, in anticipation.
